Simon Geiregat
Simon Geiregat is a full-time research professor at Ghent University (Belgium) and a part-time assistant professor at Tilburg University (the Netherlands). He teaches on intellectual property law. His research mainly focuses on copyright and on the verge between intellectual property and digital technologies.
Simon obtained his master’s degree (LL.M) at Ghent University in 2015 and his advanced master’s degree (LL.M) in Intellectual Property and IT Law at KU Leuven in 2017. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation (PhD) on digital copyright at Ghent University in 2019.
From 2019 to 2023, Simon was a junior postdoctoral researcher at FWO Research Foundation Flanders, a part-time assistant professor at Universiteit Leiden and a guest lecturer at the University of Antwerp, KU Leuven CITIP and Ghent University.
